  • The Brooklyn Transition Center is announcing a leadership transition at our Gotham Site.

    We share that Mr. Pierce McGlone has moved to a new position within District 75. Mr. McGlone is a tireless advocate for our students, and his passion for the D75 community has been an inspiration to us all. We wish him the absolute best as he continues his vital work for NYCPS students in his new endeavor.
    We are thrilled to announce that Assistant Principal Tenia McCoy has officially stepped into the role of Site Supervisor for the Gotham site. Ms. McCoy is a veteran educator with over 20 years of experience in the New York City Public Schools. Many of our families already know her as a trusted resource through her specialized workshops on OPWDD and Guardianship. As an expert in adult planning and transition services, she is uniquely qualified to lead our students toward successful, independent futures.
    "Ms. McCoy’s dedication and hands-on approach make her the perfect fit for Gotham. She will continue the fierce advocacy for our children that the Brooklyn Transition Center is so proud of."

  • Potential Yellow Bus Disruption Notification

    We are reaching out to inform you about a possible disruption to yellow bus service beginning
    in early November, and to share how we’re preparing to support you. We understand the
    importance of reliable transportation to your child’s education. If bus service is disrupted, our
    top priority is to ensure that every student can continue attending school without interruption.
    Though New York City Public Schools has not directly received any official notice of layoffs by
    bus companies, we understand this may be a possibility as early as November 3, 2025.

P373K New Parent Coordinator

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the Parent Coordinator of 373K Brooklyn Transition Center.

As Parent Coordinator, my goal is to strengthen family engagement within our school and the wider community. I am here to serve as a liaison and to support parents, guardians, and students with any questions or concerns that may arise. I understand that high school is an important and sometimes overwhelming stage in a young person’s life. If I cannot answer your question directly, I will make sure to connect you with the appropriate person who can.

Family engagement plays a vital role in a child’s academic success from Pre-K through 12th grade. At 373K Brooklyn Transition Center, we are committed to creating a welcoming environment and encouraging families to take an active role in their child’s educational journey. By collaborating with the school community, you help build clear and consistent communication between home and school—something that greatly contributes to improved academic outcomes for our students.
